Bob came to inspect the house, carefully evaluated what had to be done and explained us in detail the work that he would do. He then send us a very reasonable estimate and came to do the work soon after. He was very kind throughout the process and even offered to work around the nap time of our daughter not to make too much noise. He completed the work in half a day with his helper that also left the area clean and tidy. We would recommend Bob for great insulation work at a good price!Posted on Joanna2022-09-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They did a good job in insulation and good customer service.Posted on Caroline Oneill2022-02-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have used Bob and his team on two separate instances for two different properties, and both times they were able to quickly identify my issues and help remediate them! Most recently, my fiancé and I moved into a 1900s renovated home. Upon moving in, we quickly noticed that we were FREEZING all the time, even when cranking the heat. Bob and his team came and performed a full audit of the home and discovered there was absolutely no insulation on our third floor. They also gave us some other very helpful tips on how to save energy in our home. I would recommend anyone who owns property to have Bob and his team come at the very least do an audit at your property, as we ended up saving tons of money on our energy bills after using his services. It is definitely worth it, especially if you have an older home or have been noticing high bills.Posted on Maria Edmonds2021-02-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got my attic insulated last February. H.E.L.P. did an excellent job. I could immediately see the difference in my energy bill, and the comfort in my home. I highly recommend them.Posted on Katherine Galbreath2020-08-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They insulated my (absolutely no insulation upon move-in) flat roof at a reasonable price! Bob and Mike came to assess/quote and Mike was super friendly and knowledgeable at installation!Posted on Alex Stimac2020-02-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. HELP was a huge help for us. We are new homeowners and we were shocked at our high gas bills during our first winter in the house. After researching online, we signed up for the BGE home energy audit (costs $100 and includes a lot of free stuff as part of the audit. There is zero reason not to do it if you are at all concerned about the weatherproofing in your home). Bob from HELP came out to perform our audit, which revealed the existence of several massive connections between the attic and our basement, which essentially caused our basement to constantly suck cold air in from the outside, forcing our furnace to work overtime. Bob walked us through his proposal and quote as well as the BGE rebate process, and was able to secure a really high rebate for us. Mike and Joe came out to do the actual insulating and sealing work, and they were polite, diligent, and thorough throughout. I can’t say enough positive things about the HELP team and I highly highly recommend both HELP and the BGE Energy Audit program.Posted on mary bradley2019-01-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After getting a horrific energy bill on a recently renovated house in Arbutus, I called HELP and Bob came by and completely insulated the home, made things more energy efficient, and educated us along the way! Just received our energy bill and we think Bob is a rock star! Thank you!Posted on Donna Green2018-08-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had my house attic and garage insulated along with some other energy efficiency updates and I can't say enough good things about H.E.L.P. After enduring adverse temperature extremes and paying out very high electric and gas bills for two years I am so glad to have made the investment to get the issues fixed. Thanks again Bob!
Canton sits along Baltimore’s waterfront between Fells Point and Highlandtown. This page covers insulation services for Canton rowhouses, converted industrial buildings, and waterfront condos. We work throughout the 21224 zip code.
Proximity matters here. Your 19th-century brick construction requires specialized attic and wall cavity access. Harbor humidity increases condensation risk without proper vapor barriers.
Many Canton properties are historic contributing structures with permit requirements. Limited street parking means we plan quick load-in from Eastern Avenue or Boston Street. Our crews arrive with equipment sized for tight urban access.
Finding the right insulation contractor Canton residents trust starts with understanding your building type. Call us to discuss your Canton property’s insulation needs and schedule an assessment. We provide free estimates for all residential projects.
Canton Rowhouses Lose Heat Through Shared Walls and Uninsulated Attics
You own a 2-story brick rowhouse built between 1880 and 1920 along Kenwood, Lakewood, or Hudson Street. These homes were built for coal heat with minimal insulation. Blown-in attic insulation stops heat loss without disturbing your original plaster ceilings.
Most Canton rows have 18-24 inch attic crawl spaces. We access them through bedroom closets or hall hatches. The tight space requires specialized equipment sized for narrow entries.
We assess your shared party walls for gaps. Air leaks between units waste energy even when your neighbor keeps their heat low. Sound also travels through these gaps during winter months.
We prioritize attic R-value upgrades first because that’s where you lose the most conditioned air. A properly insulated attic makes your second floor more comfortable year-round. You’ll notice the difference within weeks of installation.

Warehouse Conversions Near the Waterfront Need Commercial-Grade Vapor Barriers
You own a condo or loft in a converted manufacturing building along Boston Street or the Canton Waterfront. These industrial spaces have different insulation needs than residential rowhouses. Spray foam insulation seals your high ceilings and exposed ductwork in open-plan units.
Harbor humidity and exposed brick require closed-cell foam. This prevents moisture migration through your walls. Open-cell products don’t block water vapor in waterfront locations.
We coordinate with your condo board for building access. Weekend move-in schedules affect our timing. We plan around resident activity and loading dock availability.
Our team also handles HVAC contractor services for complete climate control in converted warehouse spaces. Many loft owners upgrade both systems at once for maximum efficiency. This approach reduces your total project timeline.
Reaching Our Team from Canton Square or O'Donnell Heights Takes Under 15 Minutes
You live anywhere in 21224 and need to schedule an assessment or day-of service. Fast response times mean same-week visits during non-peak months. We prioritize Canton appointments based on weather windows and crew availability.
We’re just a quick hop from Canton Square, about a minute or two down Eastern Avenue. Head east past the shops and cafés, and you’ll find our location tucked along the main stretch before you hit the waterfront. It’s an easy, straight shot with plenty of familiar spots along the way, so you’ll know you’re close. Stop by anytime or click Get Directions to find your way over.
We confirm parking options on your block before arrival. Our equipment is sized for rowhouse entry doors. Most jobs require only standard doorway clearance.
Street access matters in Canton’s dense blocks. We scout your street in advance to locate the best unloading zone. This preparation keeps your project on schedule from day one.
Spring and Fall Offer the Best Weather Windows for Canton Insulation Projects
You’re planning attic or wall insulation around Preakness weekend or Oktoberfest events in Patterson Park. Mild temperatures allow attic work without extreme heat and let foam cure properly. These shoulder seasons give us the best working conditions.
July and August attic temps in Canton brick homes often exceed 120 degrees. Working in that heat slows the job and risks crew safety. Foam also cures better between 60-80 degrees.
If you need air conditioning contractor services to cool your space before insulation work, we coordinate both projects. Adding insulation before summer makes your AC more effective. The combined upgrade delivers immediate comfort improvements.
We book April-May and September-October slots first. Early-bird scheduling discounts apply when you reserve off-peak dates. Call now to secure preferred timing before prime slots fill.

High-Efficiency Insulation Cuts Energy Bills in Older Canton Brick Homes
You own pre-1950 construction and face high gas bills from Constellation or BGE. Winter heating costs in uninsulated rowhouses often exceed $200 monthly. R-38 attic insulation can reduce heating costs by 20-30% in your first winter.
Canton rowhomes typically have R-5 or less in original attic spaces. Adding R-38 brings you to current energy code standards. The difference shows up immediately on your heating bill.
We calculate payback periods based on your current energy usage and building square footage. Most Canton rowhouse upgrades pay for themselves within 3-5 years. Energy savings continue for decades after that initial payback.

HOA Approval and Historic District Rules Shape Canton Insulation Timelines
You bought in Canton Cove condos or on historic overlay blocks. Board approval is required before work begins. We provide spec sheets and contractor insurance certificates for your HOA submission packets.
Canton Square historic district requires permits for exterior vent installations. Interior attic work usually doesn’t trigger review. Roof penetrations do.
All work follows historic preservation standards to protect your property’s character. We never compromise historic features for energy efficiency. The right approach preserves both.
Plan 2-4 weeks for board review in managed buildings. City permits on historic blocks take about 1 week. We handle the paperwork and follow up with your property manager.
