Bob came to inspect the house, carefully evaluated what had to be done and explained us in detail the work that he would do. He then send us a very reasonable estimate and came to do the work soon after. He was very kind throughout the process and even offered to work around the nap time of our daughter not to make too much noise. He completed the work in half a day with his helper that also left the area clean and tidy. We would recommend Bob for great insulation work at a good price!Posted on Joanna2022-09-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They did a good job in insulation and good customer service.Posted on Caroline Oneill2022-02-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have used Bob and his team on two separate instances for two different properties, and both times they were able to quickly identify my issues and help remediate them! Most recently, my fiancé and I moved into a 1900s renovated home. Upon moving in, we quickly noticed that we were FREEZING all the time, even when cranking the heat. Bob and his team came and performed a full audit of the home and discovered there was absolutely no insulation on our third floor. They also gave us some other very helpful tips on how to save energy in our home. I would recommend anyone who owns property to have Bob and his team come at the very least do an audit at your property, as we ended up saving tons of money on our energy bills after using his services. It is definitely worth it, especially if you have an older home or have been noticing high bills.Posted on Maria Edmonds2021-02-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got my attic insulated last February. H.E.L.P. did an excellent job. I could immediately see the difference in my energy bill, and the comfort in my home. I highly recommend them.Posted on Katherine Galbreath2020-08-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They insulated my (absolutely no insulation upon move-in) flat roof at a reasonable price! Bob and Mike came to assess/quote and Mike was super friendly and knowledgeable at installation!Posted on Alex Stimac2020-02-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. HELP was a huge help for us. We are new homeowners and we were shocked at our high gas bills during our first winter in the house. After researching online, we signed up for the BGE home energy audit (costs $100 and includes a lot of free stuff as part of the audit. There is zero reason not to do it if you are at all concerned about the weatherproofing in your home). Bob from HELP came out to perform our audit, which revealed the existence of several massive connections between the attic and our basement, which essentially caused our basement to constantly suck cold air in from the outside, forcing our furnace to work overtime. Bob walked us through his proposal and quote as well as the BGE rebate process, and was able to secure a really high rebate for us. Mike and Joe came out to do the actual insulating and sealing work, and they were polite, diligent, and thorough throughout. I can’t say enough positive things about the HELP team and I highly highly recommend both HELP and the BGE Energy Audit program.Posted on mary bradley2019-01-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After getting a horrific energy bill on a recently renovated house in Arbutus, I called HELP and Bob came by and completely insulated the home, made things more energy efficient, and educated us along the way! Just received our energy bill and we think Bob is a rock star! Thank you!Posted on Donna Green2018-08-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had my house attic and garage insulated along with some other energy efficiency updates and I can't say enough good things about H.E.L.P. After enduring adverse temperature extremes and paying out very high electric and gas bills for two years I am so glad to have made the investment to get the issues fixed. Thanks again Bob!

How Home Insulation Reduces Energy Waste in Baltimore Rowhomes
Good insulation in walls and attics keeps heat inside during those cold February nights. It helps your furnace run less often. You can lower your monthly BGE gas or electric bills by 20 to 30 percent with the right insulation. Rowhomes in Canton and Fells Point often have no insulation in shared walls. This causes heat to escape through the walls you share with neighbors on each side.
We install blown-in cellulose or spray foam insulation in walls and attics. This creates a barrier that stops warm air from escaping between floors. Your home stays warmer in every room. Your heating system does not work as hard during those bitter cold snaps off the harbor.
Baltimore rowhomes built before 1960 usually have little or no wall insulation. Adding insulation to outside walls and party walls stops energy waste. You do not need major construction work. You spend less on heating bills and feel more comfortable during cold months. Learn more about our insulation contractor services in Baltimore.
Air Sealing Stops Drafts and Moisture Problems in Older Baltimore Properties
Air sealing stops drafts near windows, baseboards, and attic doors all year long. It keeps that thick summer humidity out during July and August. It stops warm air from leaving during January and February. You feel more comfortable and spend less on BGE bills when air leaks are sealed.
Baltimore’s brick rowhomes and older Formstone houses settle over time. This creates gaps around door frames and foundation joints. These gaps are common in neighborhoods from Hampden to Highlandtown. We use spray foam and caulk to seal these openings. This stops air from moving in and out.
Drafty homes work harder to stay warm or cool. Your furnace or air conditioner runs longer when air leaks in and out. Sealing leaks helps your equipment last longer. Your home feels comfortable whether you’re dealing with an Orioles game day heat wave or a Ravens game day freeze.
Attic Insulation Upgrades Lower Cooling Costs During Maryland Summers
Adding or replacing attic insulation blocks heat from coming down into your home. This keeps upstairs bedrooms cooler during those muggy Baltimore summers. It also helps your air conditioner work less when temperatures climb into the 90s. You pay lower BGE electric bills when your AC does not run all the time.
Baltimore’s hot, humid summers make attics unbearably hot. Attic temperatures can go above 130 degrees. Good insulation and airflow are important for homes in Hampden and Mount Washington. We install blown-in fiberglass or cellulose insulation. We can install it at different levels based on your attic space and budget.
Second-floor rooms that stay hot even with the AC on need attic upgrades most. This is especially true in rowhomes where heat has nowhere to go. The insulation creates a barrier between your rooms and the super-hot attic. Your bedrooms feel cooler. You spend less on cooling costs each month.

Duct Sealing and Insulation Improve HVAC Performance in Baltimore Homes
Sealing and insulating ducts stop cooled or heated air from escaping. This makes your system work better. It also improves the air quality inside your home. You get better airflow to every room. You waste less energy from leaky ducts.
Many Baltimore rowhomes have ducts that run through unheated basements or damp crawl spaces near the foundation. This causes energy loss and moisture problems during heating season. We seal duct joints with mastic. We wrap ducts in insulation to stop air leaks and heat loss.
Weak airflow in some rooms or dusty vents mean you have duct problems. Sealing leaks helps your HVAC system send the right amount of air to each room. Your heating and cooling equipment works better. Your home stays comfortable with no hot or cold spots from Federal Hill to Roland Park.
